Agen Tokek. Tak sengaja, saat saya sedang berkumpul dengan teman-teman, tokek menjadi salah satu topik pembicaraan kami.
Salah seorang teman yang sama-sama memiliki hobi memelihara burung berkicau (kicau mania), ternyata merangkap sebagai pemburu tokek. Kemarin dia baru berangkat ke Jawa dengan membawa beberapa ekor tokek dengan berat 3-5 ons. Disana dia menjualnya ke salah seorang agen tokek langganannya.
Sampai di tempat agen tokek, maka tokek tersebut dilepaskan ke dalam kandang tokek, dikumpulkan dengan tokek besar lainnya.
Menurut dia, jenis tokek besar, umumnya bukanlah yang berada di rumah tinggal manusia, namun yang tinggal di pohon-pohon, seperti di pohon kelapa. Panjangnya bisa mencapai hampir 1 meter. Menangkapnyapun harus dengan teknik tertentu.
Saya sendiri pernah nonton acara laptop si Unyil yang saat itu menanyangkan mengenai penangkaran tokek. Di tiap kandang tersebut, berkumpul beberapa puluh ekor tokek. Mereka diberi makan cicak atau lipas. Hemm ternyata berburu tokek dan melakukan penangkaran tokek bisa menjadi alternatif mata pencaharian ya. Siapa yang mau jadi pemburu tokek, penangkar tokek atau agen tokek?
